Questlan is a role-playing game wherein the player creates a single character and guides it through the world of Questlan, learning how to destroy the evil inside Mount Drugimour. All action takes place in a real-time 3D Isometric perspective.
The player will face challenges in the form of hostile monsters, traps, and intelligent puzzles in their quest. Many beneficial weapons, magical items, and Spirit Familiars can be found to help on their quest.
A player will initially be able to choose from three classes to start his character. As the character defeats monsters, solve quests and puzzles, they will gain experience and new levels. New levels will make the character stronger, acquire new skills, use more powerful equipment, and train spirit familiars to be more useful.
Exploration into Mount Drugimour will be broken up by trips to town or other quests around Questlan. Towns will offer side quests, rumors, repairing equipment, and item trading.
The heart of Questlan is the collecting of Spirit Familiars and it's AI Cooperative puzzles as well as the randomly created dungeons. The AI co-op engine will allow players to give NPC's and Spirit familiars rudimentary commands to follow, this opens a new world of puzzle designs. Different Familiars will be needed to help with various puzzles. This will incentivize the player to not only search for different familiars but to train multiple ones as well. The Random dungeon/puzzle generator will keep all the games fresh and promote replay-ability. Once Questlan is solved, new difficulty modes will unlock.
Questlan will support multi-player game sessions.
An underlining goal of Questlan is to acquire all the familiars. A Familiar is an animal spirit guide that the character can bring forth. These familiars have their own individual traits and abilities. Players and familiars gain their own XP and can level up to give more powerful bonuses. A player can change his familiar with any other that he has in his spirit inventory. A Familiar will return to the spirit world if not refreshed with spirit essence or falls in battle.
Throughout Questlan spirit familiars can be found, purchased for gold and collected.
Focus on the Quest hand control system will be a high priority for development.
Rumble will work with a characters Sense ability. Sense allows a character to be better in touch with the world around them. Spot a hidden trap, detect a secret door, or feel an ambush around the corner.
Players will work together to solve unique interactive and cooperative puzzles.
Over 30 collectable pets that can found, purchased, or traded. All pets can be raised and trained to help you with your adventure.
Questlan will allow for trading or purchasing very rare items and familiars.
Certain puzzles will use the players hand tracking to solve visual and cordination puzzles.
The adventure campaign will have a base story line with randomized side quests and maps to help with replay value. As campaigns are completed, new and more difficult game modes are unlocked.
During your adventure, many puzzles will require the aid of familiars or NPC's. A unique command system will be added that allows players to give intelligent instructions for NPC's to follow.
Three fully customizable characters. That level up using Forte Sets Blade Dancer, Psyonist, Radical Magian.
ESRB target rating is E10. The gender agnostic art style will appeal to both girls and boys. Use voice chat to cooperatively figure out puzzles together.
Throughout the campaign, the player will be sent on a multitude of side quests ranging from fixing a bridge, retrieving information, finding an ancient sword, etc. As players quest through Mount Drugimour, powerful bosses and their minions will lay in wait as the adventurers travel farther and farther discovering the ancient secrets.
Teamwork and Multiplayer is synonymous with Questlan. Even in Single player mode, players will have to work with NPCs, or Familiars together to progress through the adventure. The same goes for multi-player, only when players work together can the path forward be seen.
